September Cocktail Raises Money for "Tour de Lis"
For the month of September, Ralph's on the Park is offering a very special cocktail to raise money for "Tour de Lis."
Ask your server for the "ROSEMARY GIN FIZZ", and 20% of the proceeds will benefit Tour de Lis, whose mission is to raise funds for and awareness about cancer survival, support, and research.
The event is organized by longtime New Orleans residents and community activists Carol and Harold Asher along with local friends Doug Thornton, Mickey Allweiss and Bill Schwartz and their Connecticut cousins Abby and Josh Lipschutz. Josh, a 1992 Tulane graduate and former New Orleans resident was married less than a month when he was diagnosed with malignant brain cancer. He battles this today with tremendous optimism and courage. In his honor, the Ashers organized Tour de Lis.
The Tour de Lis is a road cycling event that benefits Lance Armstrong Foundation, Cancer Association of Greater N.O. and The Al Copeland Foundation. It's not a race - it's a ride with a purpose - to raise funds for and awareness about cancer survival, support, and research. In 2010, a 5K walk/run was added
